Senior Scholarship Program & Application

Two (2), $250 Scholarships to Be Awarded June 1st, 2024

 

Program Description

The Mu Eta Sigma General College Scholarship is designed to promote education by providing financial assistance to graduating members of Mu Eta Sigma National Math Honor Society. A committee comprised of professors and professionals in math-related fields will determine the scholarship recipients. Scholarship applicants will be notified by email of the committee’s selection. The scholarship recipients will be notified by letter and featured on our website. Scholarship funds are non-renewable and will be disbursed directly to the scholarship winner to be used toward tuition, school related fees, room and board, or books.

 

Eligibility Requirements

• Current member in good standing of Mu Eta Sigma National Math Honor Society at the time of the awarding of the scholarship funds on June 1, 2024.

• Graduating High School Senior.

• Submitted Student Spotlight Questionnaire by May 1, 2024. (Note: Scholarship eligibility does not require the student to be featured in Student Spotlight, only to have applied to be featured. Students may have submitted their Student Spotlight Questionnaire at anytime over the life of their membership in Mu Eta Sigma.)

• Provide documented proof of intent to enroll full time in a degree-seeking program at a two or four year college or vocational school in the U.S. during the 2024-2025 academic year.

• Submit completed Mu Eta Sigma Senior Scholarship Application by May 1, 2024. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.

 

Application Check List

• Complete the Scholarship application (see PDF application link below) in FULL.

• Submit three (3) copies of the completed application.

• Include one copy of your current official high school transcript.

• Include one copy of a document to verify intent of full-time enrollment. (Any correspondence on the institution’s letterhead regarding the student’s intent or acceptance/enrollment.)

• Please include one photo (minimum 2”x 3”) of the student to be used for media announcements.

• Mail the application to: Mu Eta Sigma, ATTN: Scholarship Committee, PO Box 1282, Bellville, Texas, 77418.

• Submit Student Spotlight Questionnaire by May 1, 2024.
