Why I enjoy math: I love math because of the discovery. You get to unlock the rules of the universe.

I anticipate using math in my future: I plan to become a biomedical engineer, so I will be using math to help design medical devices.

I have been involved in my community through the following service projects: Volunteering at a local homeless ministry, children’s hospital, special needs community, my church, and our local zoo.

My favorite project was hosting events for adults with special needs because it gaves me the opportunity to engage with my community while allowing me to give and receive joy with my neighbors.

I have set the following goals for myself for the next

1 year: First year of living independently at college, continuing to volunteer in my community

5 years: Graduate with my Bachelor’s degree and be accepted into a Biomedical Engineering Masters program

My parents  have inspired me to consider: Living out my values in everything that I do at school, in a career, and at home.

My favorite subject in school has been: Biology

My favorite extra-curricular activity has been: Yearbook Club

The most challenging thing I have ever experienced is: Learning music theory

My greatest accomplishment to date has been: Defending my senior thesis in front of a panel of judges
