I enjoy math because: Math is a fascinating and, in a way, it can be beautiful. I am fairly skilled at math and I enjoy learing about it.

How I anticipate using math in my future: I hope to work as an aerospace engineer, which will involve complex math and physics.

My favorite project was Archdiocesan Youth Council because I made some of the closest friends in the council. Serving on council allowed me to serve in the way that really made a difference in the lives of many people. Additionally, being on council greatly strengthened my Catholic faith.

I have set the following goals for myself for the next:
● 1 year: As a freshman at A&M, I will be a member of the general engineering program. During the next year I will work to get accepted into the Texas A&M's aerospace department via the ETAM process.
● 5 years: I will earn my degree in aerospace engineering and either get a job in the industry or pursue a Master's Degree.

My parents (and a few other people) have inspired me to consider being more outgoing. When I was younger, I was shy and lacked confidence. After being encouraged, I grew greatly in confidence and am now very comfortable with public speaking, leadership, etc.

My favorite subject in school has been Calculus II

 

My favorite extra-curricular activity has been Boy Scouts of America

The most challenging  experience I have had to date has been: My junior year I had to balance my tough Calculus I and II classes with NASA's High School Aerospace Scholars program, as well as the Archdiocesan Youth Council, Scouts, my very difficult Physics course, and my heavy history and literature courses.

My greatest accomplishment to date is earning the Rank of Eagle in BSA. This required me to organize and run a service project after earning the six previous ranks. Over the couse of my scouting journey, I mastered first aid and outdoor skills and practiced leadership by holding many different positions in my troop, including Senior Patrol Leader, the highest position in the troop. My culminating achievement was earning my Eagle Scout Rank.
