Describe why you enjoy math: I love puzzles and math is basically like using a giant puzzle every day.
Describe how you anticipate using math in your future: As a Marine Transportation major I will be using math every day to plot my course shipping goods around the world!
I have been involved in my community through the following service projects: Feed NC, Denver Fire Department Junior Firefighter, Wreaths Across America, Operation Christmas Child
My favorite project was: Operation Christmas Child because I was able to have a direct impact on the lives of children across the globe, knowing our family has prayed over all those shoe boxes and ensured every child feels loved.
I have set the following goals for myself for the next
-
1 year: Become EMS Certified in order to expand on my current Junior Firefighter skill set.
-
5 years: Graduate with my United States Coast Guard Third Mate Unlimited Tonnage Deck Officer License
My parents have inspired me to consider: Making a difference in someone's life every day.
My favorite subject in school has been: Differential Equations!
My favorite extra-curricular activity has been: United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps
The most challenging thing I have ever experienced is: Naval Special Warfare Orientation Course (NSWOC) Training
My greatest accomplishment to date has been: Receiving an Appointment to the United Stated Merchant Marine Academy and also the honor of being chosen as Lincoln County's Junior Firefighter of the Year (2024)
