Describe why you enjoy math:  I enjoy solving problems.

Describe how you anticipate using math in your future:  I plan to have a career in Tissue Regeneration which will require me to calculate scientific formulas in order to correctly identify and produce healthy cells.

I have been involved in my community through the following service projects:

  • Vacation Bible School Student Leader

  • Church-wide Clean up

  • Apartment Ministry Block Parties

  • Hurricane Harvey Mud Out Teams

  • Champions 4 Hope: Hygiene item collection for Houston’s homeless

  • Sole Hope: Shoes for Ugandan children

  • Cypress Assisted Ministries: Food boxes for low income families

  • Samaritan’s Purse: Operation Christmas Child gift boxes

  • Third Ward Book Drive: Books for low income schools

  • Back2Basics Substance Abuse Recovery Center: Bibles for patients

  • Nursing Home Visitations

  • Walk to End Hydrocephalus: Raise awareness and money for research

My favorite project was helping as a Vacation Bible School Student Leader because I enjoy serving others and working with the kids.

I have set the following goals for myself for the next

·       1 year:
I plan to graduate high school in May, and attend Baylor University in the Fall, majoring in Biology.

·       5 years:  I plan to graduate college and continue working towards a PhD in Tissue Regeneration in order to help people who have been severely injured regrow tissue and organs.

My parents have inspired me to consider pursuing my passions in Biology.

My favorite subject in school is:  Biology I and Biology II

My favorite extra-curricular activity is, or has been:  Square Dancing

The most challenging thing I have ever experienced is:  5 Brain Surgeries

My greatest accomplishment to date has been: catching up in my schoolwork and studies after having brain surgery, so I am able to graduate high school with honors in May and attend college.
